HOUSTON ZOO - Spring 2008

Leanna's Taco Roll "Bull Dog Face"

Leanna is finishing up her Young Women Personal Progress Program and has one last challenge: cooking and planning meals for two weeks. She LOVES taco rolls and couldn't wait to learn how to make them. Funny enough, one of the rolls looked an awful lot like a dog...see the face? Once it was cooked it was a roll again. We laughed about our Bulldog faced Roll and glad we captured the moment on film.

EASTER 2008

Bye, Bye Chowdhury's...

My sister Kami and her sweet family moved to New York this month. It was a horrible goodbye for me and I will miss them terribly. My babies: Kiya, Aidan, and Joshy were so sweet and gave crying Aunt La La loads of hugs and kisses before I left. This is a picture of them in the Budget Rental Truck on moving day. Those smiles are FAKE 'cause I know they don't want to leave me! Really, I'm still depressed over it and I think BlueBell is NOT helping!

My mom out did herself once again with our celebration of Easter on Easter Sunday. She put together a great program and we celebrated in "Passover" style for our dinner even down to the low tables, costumes and food selection. The kids loved it! Rob was wishing he had some warning about not having a traditional Easter meal...two items he could have done without were pita bread and bitter herbs (large Romaine lettuce leaves). It was a crack up to see him eat! We are lucky to have a grandma who teaches us the gospel and reminds us of the importance of family and our Savior. The photo is of Lauren and Krista waiting for the food to be served. Too cute!

KENDI POP and the Mint Brownie

This is my precious niece Kendra. She LOVES chocolate just like my brother (her dad) and her Aunt La-La. I gave her one of my famous mint brownies at our Easter celebration and caught the love she has for this delicious dessert! She is sooooo cute!

Picking Stawberries with Grandma

Grandma Rachel took the kids for a couple of days during Spring Break. She always takes them on adventures to thrift stores, but this year included a fun trip to Froberg's Farm in Alvin for an afternoon of Strawberry Pickin'. They had a fun time, but after the first 3 buckets filled up they were ready to go, but NO, Grandma ended up convincing them to keep picking and they ended up with 7 full buckets! Travis created this video of the event and Leanna was the videographer. Travis did a great job and we have been laughing for days!
