Casper has whined about not being able to follow us upstairs until this morning! Lucy is now out of luck with her hiding place on top of the stairs. She does everything she can to stay away from the new pup. Here is Caspy on top of the stairs...SO CUTE!!!

WADE IS AN EAGLE SCOUT!!!!!!
Wade officially became an Eagle Scout yesterday afternoon after an hour and 10 minute interview about his time in cub and boy scouts. He even was asked to tie a square knot! He is VERY happy to have accomplished this goal and is the 4th boy this year to complete this honor in our district. He earned 25 merit badges and is already on his way to earning his first palm. His project was taking pictures of and cleaning up after erosion damage from hurricane Rita around the Williamson Cemetery (our families cemetery in Vidor, Texas) and uploading/naming all photos (over 900) to a non-profit web site that helps families around the world find there ancestors. I'll send the link to see that later with announcements in June. His court of honor will be held around the 10th of July when Aunt Tamra is coming to visit (and anyone else who wants to come...hint, hint!!). We are really excited for Wade and know he will become a better man because of what he has learned from this 9 year experience! Pictured above are the men at his board of review. Glenn Witt, Scott Johnson, Wade, Bishop Richards, and Stan Shearer. Thanks to all who helped Wade accomplish his goal.

Anything You Can Do
Wade and Angelita performed this number for the spring show tonight for Varsity Choir. They are both extremely talented individuals and this doesn't show even 1/2 their talents, but even with a few mess ups they were better than the rest of the show! Wade has decided to drop choir next year because "choir isn't his thing", but singing at church, home or in the musical next year IS so he will keep singing with that in mind. We will truly miss Angelita next year. She is off to LA to pursue music theater and we are all sure we will see her on the Tony Awards someday. She has been a great friend to Wade and actually was the one who convinced him to join the choir and step out of his comfort zone of competitive theater and add singing to his long list of talents. For that we are all very thankful. God Bless you in all you do Angelita. Love always, The Johnson Family
RECITAL TIME
OUTSTANDING SOPHOMORE - Wade Johnson
Wade received the award for Outstanding Sophomore in Speech and Debate for Lamar Consolidated High School. This was such an honor for him and a surprise. Danny is one of Wade's best friends in school. Danny "knighted" him for the coming year with a light saber to carry on the traditions next year and set an example for the team. He also made Wade a crown (all of the captains make crowns for each team member...they are all really creative and cute!). His crown says GYPSY...Speedy on it. It was really cute. Wade made up this saying "I've got the speed of a gypsy" that he says literally ALL the time when asked how he does things. In fact his letter jacket will have that phrase on the back...not my idea AT ALL, but that is what he wanted under his last name. WHATEVER. I guess it could be worse. Anyway, We are very, VERY proud of Wade this year. He has received numerous awards ,trophies and positive messages from peers and teachers alike. Good job WADE! We LOVE YOU!
