Tamra Time!!!

My sister Tamra (and kids: Natalya, Greta, and Marshall) came down for a visit this past month. As many of you know her kids can dance just like Tamra did as a little girl. We love them soooo much and were so glad to have them in our home for a while. Greta wasn't shy at ALL and quickly started in on her own made-up routine when the music started (pocket full of sunshine was SO cute). Marshall kinda got into it with her, but it was definitely her stage. Tamra showed off her skills a little too and Natalya finally danced beautiful "classical" ballet for Aunt La La (while my eyes were flowing with TEARS!!! - SO TALENTED!) before leaving back for Idaho. Another highlight was having Tamra cook for me my favorite dish - chicken enchiladas (made with chocolate and peanut butter...who knew!). It was AWESOME! Lucy got "special" treatment from the girls and a few pokes from Marshall along with a "take over" attempt for her cage. However the REAL fun began one night when Leanna had the camera and the girls were "loopy" from staying up so late and dancing...Funny snapshots of the kids making silly faces and attempting the famous "Tamra fist in her mouth" move got us all hysterically laughing...Overall, I am so PROUD to be called Aunt La La and Sister to this crew and will hate them being away from us again, but know they will be back next year and that is a great comfort to all. Thanks Tam Tam for making the trip and bringing your ADORABLE family for a visit...

This is hilarious! Kendra is used to being the queen at our house, so when Marshall wanted to sit in the same chair this little spat occurred! They are SOOO cute!

FYI: The reason Marshall's diaper is SO big is because he had been in the pool prior to this argument...

Eagle Day...

We had a glorious day with friends and family as we celebrated Wade receiving his Eagle Scout award at his Court of Honor. It was so wonderful to have everyone there. I must give a special thank you to all who helped out. Everything was fabulous! I think my favorite part was when Grandma Rachel was surprised when Wade called her up to receive the Mentor Pin. Don't think there was a dry eye! Also, when Rob presented Wade with the US Flag and TX Flag that flew in his honor for becoming an Eagle. Krista helped Rob (a little) with cutting the wood and creating beautiful cases for them to be displayed in. They turned out BEAUTIFUL. He was really touched to receive them from his dad. After the food and fun we continued the celebration at our home with Homemade Ice cream, backyard swimming, Guitar Hero, taking loads of pictures (as you can see below) and leftovers...Then we got hungry again and Patrice and Daniel ordered PIZZA! Serious Family party! It was truly a great day in the house of Johnson and we hope there are more to follow! Thanks again to all who participated and helped out in so many ways...We will never forget this momentous occasion.

EAGLE Ceremony

Krista went to her 2nd year of Girls Camp with our Ward/Stake this year. Shelby was her buddy as they are the only Beehives in our ward. She was very glad to come home after a long, fun camp and couldn't WAIT to have her blanket washed and smelling good (we couldn't wait for her to smell good!!!:). She is growing up so fast and is full of energy and love.

Kidney Stone Day...

Leanna has a kidney stone and we are going on three weeks with her in pain. The photos below are of the day we took her to the ER. She was pitiful. First time for IV and such. We had matching arm bands so no one would "take her" and then after finding out she had stones we left the hospital loaded up with prescriptions and took her to the new "Steak n' Shake" with the rest of the family. She seemed to be happy when the shake came and we got her pain med's. Keep her in your prayers please. These things are brutal!

WORST DAY EVER...

The morning started out at the hospital with Leanna in horrible pain. She has been in screaming pain for three days actually! After 5 hours in ER she was diagnosed with Kidney Stones... WHAT! Isn't she 15 not 90? (She asked why she gets the OLD PEOPLE diseases...she had shingles earlier this year) Anyway, She is hoping that things "pass" soon and she can resume her normal, BUSY teenage life. If that were not enough my new puppy (4 months old) who has been limping for about three days now started to seizure and foam at the mouth. After the second round of that I called the ER for pets and they told me to rush him in. After a quick exam the doctor told us it was Distemper. That is an incurable disease, of course, so we had to put him under and finally out of pain. Distemper is like MS for dogs. I was alone at the ER with him (DUMB!) due to Leanna needing to have Rob around, so I got to cry all the way home by myself. Krista is devastated. She was such a good little helper with Caspie. Leanna is upset too, just doped up on pain med's so she really can't cry yet. WHAT A DAY! I'm just glad that we had him in our life and that we know that he is happy again running around in doggie heaven with our friends dog Annie. If you have time to pray, PRAY FOR THE JOHNSON's so we won't have anything else happen this week. Wade's court of honor is Saturday and we have to stay focused! Thanks for listening...Laurie
