World of WADE...
Wade is so into Theatre/Speech and Debate this year. He was just named Head Jr. Captain of the team by his peers for next year. Many of you have heard me talk about his H.I. (Humorous Interpretation) performance "The Grinch" but haven't seen it yet. I taped him doing it this week at a school fundraiser and posted it on YouTube. I even figured out how to put it on my blog! So, anyway, Enjoy a great laugh! He is currently competing at Districts and hopes to place high enough to go to Nationals in Vegas. He got in last night at midnight and broke to Semi's so keep your fingers crossed! We'll know by Saturday. Have a great day!

ROUGH-OUT Weekend 2008
Leanna is going to the South Texas Stake Girls Camp this year due to EFY scheduling. She is glad because our Stake is going to tents instead of Cabins with air condition! She has always gone to this camp so finishing her 4 years of church girls camp with the same girls is a good thing. They had rough out this past weekend and her friend couldn't go so I went for a fun weekend with my beautiful daughter. Little did I know how COLD it would be that night. Leanna got a big kick out of me freezing eating a snicker bar (they served Banana boats for dessert so I HAD to have chocolate instead...) and sleeping in all my clothes and shoes! We survived the night and even stayed relatively warm. I didn't know I was signed up for canoeing with her until I got there, but glad I was because we had a blast! Leanna and I sang our way down the Colorado, and even took a moment to see the analogy between the trip down the river and the gospel. Don't think anyone else was doing that, but we did and it was a special moment between us both. We got tickled about 6 miles into the trip and started uncontrollably laughing...we were tired and loopy, but we got a hold of ourselves and kept going. The worst thing about the trip was our sunscreen problem that lead to allergic reaction (me) and splotchy sunburn spots on our legs and arms. NEVER use Neutrogena Fresh Cooling Body Mist Sunscreen SPF 45 --DOESN'T WORK! We are suffering this morning with painful sunburned knees, legs, and arms. However, we do feel stronger muscles developing in our upper body due to intense rowing down the river and braving a few rapids! We were first in after the lead boat so we were quite proud of our persistence to stay in front of the pack. If you haven't camped in a while I suggest you try it (especially before it gets too hot!). It was a wonderful experience and it really made Leanna and I appreciate all that God has created and the strong friendship we share.
