A great day in the house of Johnson...

As you see, Wade's best friend Angelita Torres was baptised by him yesterday evening. It was a GLORIOUS day with tears overflowing with joy. She is such a dear, sweet girl and she has given our family so much love and happiness. Grandma Rachel made homemade strawberry shortcake for dessert and I completed it with homemade icecream..YUM-OH! Seeing her so happy was the best. Watching my son perform his first baptism was incredible. As most of you know he doesn't smile often and if you only can imagine how wide his smile was coming out of that font you would be crying right now. There wasn't a dry eye. Everyone involved was so kind and there was a full house in attendance. We are eternally blessed to have had this experience in our home and are so grateful for our ward missionaries and for the great example our son is to us and others.

My Beautiful Daughter...Leanna Rachel

Leanna and I were going to Youth Night yesterday and she got a hold of my camera. She looked so cute I just had to post this picture. She really is as beautiful inside as she is outside. I am SO lucky to have her as my daughter and one of my best friends. I love you baby guh! By the way, she is never allowed to go off to college, or get married and stuff (sure she is laughing at that comment since she has already planned her life and vocation!!!). She is such a sweetheart and wonderful girl I can not imagine my life without her...

1st Gator Swim Meet 2008

Krista was asked to sing the National Anthem for our first swim meet last night. She was AWESOME! I was so proud of her. She also took home several 1st place ribbons! Leanna beat ALL her high school times and for the first year EVER beat members of her team she has never beat! What a good feeling that is to see her hard work pay off. GO JOHNSON GIRLS! and of course GO GATORS! (We won the meet by the way!)

Pre-Birthday Cupcakes

Leanna is turning 15 this Saturday. She wants cupcakes instead of the traditional cake. We are going bowling and then to the stake dance. She couldn't decide on the flavor of icing so we did a
cute mini version of what we were thinking yesterday after church. (Any reason for cupcakes of course!) I've decided these are too dang cute to not share. We made chocolate MINI cupcakes with either cream cheese "pink" icing (our favorite) or chocolate icing tinted red. Both are good, but of course pink won the vote with Leanna. I've decided these are so adorable and they just "pop" into your mouth for a quick sugar fix. I LOVE THEM! We are so excited to have her party and be out of school. Then next week we have our first swim meet and then Tuesday Leanna and I are off to CAMP...AHHHH! Her last year THANK HEAVEN!!!
By the way the perfect cream cheese icing recipe is: 1-8oz softened cream cheese, 1/2 c. softened butter, 1pd box of powdered sugar, and 1T vanilla. Cream the cheese, butter, and sugar. Stir in vanilla and beat until light and fluffy. Makes about 31/2 cups. YUM OH! Enjoy! (PS. For those of you who like the tip I used for the pink icing it is #885)
