BLACK HAIR!

YES, I dyed Wades hair BLACK for his role as Don Adriano de Armado: a fantastical Spaniard in the Shakespeare Comedy "LOVE'S LABORS LOST" The show starts tomorrow. I almost died laughing today during rehearsal. HE IS SOOOOO hilarious. I don't think I have ever laughed so hard. Even with all his humorous interp events over the years. It truly is the PERFECT role for him. SO back to the hair...after trying black hair spray that just ended up flaking off on his face he decided dying was the answer. His eyes really pop now that his hair is so black and he thinks he looks like a guy from the Outsiders movie. Krista thinks he looks like Speed Racer. SO funny. It actually looks pretty good! Anyway - I wish all my family was here to see him perform. This is Wade at his best!

OUR TOWN - Play 2010 Lone Peak High School

Wade has had a wonderful time with the Theatre Department here in Utah. He has landed several lead roles since being here end of November, but this role in the play "Our Town" has been the hardest memorizing yet! He had over 30 pages of lines being cast as the Stage Manager in this production. He told the story throughout the play and his dramatic side really set well with the audience. I even got emotional at the end of the show. It was very moving. I am so proud of him and how much he has learned since we arrived here in Utah. I can't even begin to tell you how wonderful the program is here compared to where we were. Not to mention the friends he's made. SO, last week "Our Town", this week "Love's Labor's Lost" Shakespeare Comedy, then Peter Pan - Musical and either One Act or Interp with Debate Team or BOTH. SO many choices, with just a few more months of school. He can do it YES HE CAN Wade can do it HE'S OUR MAN!!!

SWEETHEARTS DANCE 2010

Wade asked a good friend KYLEE ANDERSON to go to the "Sweethearts Dance" with him. It was her first date! He asked her on her 16th birthday with 16 balloons filled with one puzzle piece each that she had to POP to reveal the question. She answered back with a big container of Laffy Taffy's. He had to find the answer "YES" that was written on one of the candies. Leanna and Wade spent about an hour reading the funny jokes before Wade finally found the answer. They went to the Peaks Ice Arena for a fun night of Ice Skating and dancing. It was a great night and fun memories.

VALENTINES making PARTY 2010

We had our first get-together in Utah with a bunch of teenagers. We made valentines cards, decorated sugar cookies and played hours of Apples to Apples game. It was a lot of fun. Leanna made this "monster cookie" for a friend and as the night went on the cookie got larger and larger! I think when all was said and done it was at least 5 cookies tall! Such a fun night.

HIVES - Krista Feb 2010

Krista was sick with the FLU and then bronchitis, Tonsillitis, and then walking pneumonia! THEN, if that wasn't enough, she broke out in HIVES all over her body. She was out of school for 2 weeks and missed the opportunity to get a lead in her schools musical. She is very sad about this, but happy to still be in ensemble. This is a shot of her stomach when it started getting bad. POOR KISSY BUG
